    Good

Rooms were in need of a good clean. I had to request a change of room as it had not been cleaned. You don't expect dirty towels, mess on the floor or used condoms under the bed! Receptionst was very understanding and I was moved without question. Breakfast selection was good and staff all very polite. Location was very central. I think I was just the unlucky tourist!

That the rate was somewhat affordable and that close to the heart of downtown.

I wasn't impress with the cleanliness of my room or the hotel. The hallways and elevator smelled awful. The carpets were pretty dingy full of stains. The bed sheets and furniture were old and outdated. There were dust on the desk and wardrobe. The hotel needs some serious renovations. And there were no tv or ironing board. I had booked the hotel last minute as I had flown from a trip and needed to make a friends wedding that day. Even though the front desk staff was nice I wouldn't stay there again because I feel comfortable staying in an unclean place.

You cannot beat the location near Dundas and Bay. There were lots of small restaurants nearby offering a variety of Asian foods at reasonable prices. The staff responded immediately to replace a leaking ac unit. The breakfast selection was very good. The front staff was friendly. Internet access was inexpensive ($5 / 24 hours). I had trouble hooking up the modum for internet access and a staff member came right away to assist me. Linens were clean.

Most hotel rooms were booked due to conferences and conventions this week and this was the only room downtown that I could find that was under $200. I knew this hotel was a student residence but did not expect the room to be as worn and tired as it was. I decided to keep my shoes on whenener I was stepping onto the carpet or the bathroom floor. The bathtub and sink were chipped. I detected an odour right away and discovered that the ac unit was leaking. The maintenance staff came up immediately and saw that the unit needed to be replaced (the filters were clogged and the unit appeared to be very old). The staff replaced the unit in less than 15 minutes. He also soaked up the water that had leaked onto the carpet. The odour seemed to disappear as a result of his actions.

Location was great, price was good, breakfast was fine

Rooms were spacious, but looked a bit worn down. But for the price and the location a fine budget option!

    Nice Building

No available smoking rooms, windows do not open, patios in room with no access.

The room was very quiet. It was located conveniently to the downtown area. The security was good.

Unfriendly front desk check-in. Dirty room - carpet stained & room dusty. Not enough outlets. I had to unplug lamps to set up laptop. Old internet set-up. The guest must read 2 pages of instructions to set-up a modem which was inconvenient and time consuming. Most hotels these days have the guest simply connect an ether-net wire (if that). One of the elevators was not working properly. It kept bringing me to the wrong floor. They advertised buffet dinner. It was not a buffet. It was a cafeteria- style help yourself dinner. The guests could make their own salad, had one choice of soup and one choice of main course, a variety of drinks & two desserts choices. This is not a buffet & should not be advertised as such. I would consider this a budget-hotel but considering the room quality & service I could find better value elsewhere.
